Microsoft deals to Bing China
Bing will power the English searches on Baidu.
Microsoft has recently signed a deal with Baidu, the largest Search provider in China. According to the deal, Microsoft search engine Bing will power the English language search results for Baidu. This shows a rather different approach as compared to Google, which is competing via it own search engine in the country.
Toshiba Brings World’s First Glasses-Free 3D Laptop
Comes at a significant premium.
Toshiba’s new Qosmio F750 is said to be the world’s first laptop with glasses-free 3D. The Qosmio is the premium range for Tosh, so all
the newest technologies naturally debut here. Aimed squarely towards the entertainment and gaming niches, this latest version in the range brings a 120Hz refresh rate, 15.6 inch ‘lenticular’ HD screen, which can display 3D and 2D simultaneously. There is also an eye tracking HD webcam, so you always have the best three dimensional views in the house even at the strangest of angles.
Windows Phone Marketplace Hits 25k Apps
Windows Marketplace now features more than 25k applications, trackers are claiming. According to Windows Phone App List, an applications tracker the Marketplace now has 25,015 apps. Another tracker quotes a figure slightly below the 25k mark.
Skype update 2.0 brings Video Calling!
But only four phones get it for now.
Skype released a major update today for its Android application which brings two-way video calling to the masses.
Although currently only four phones are supported, Google Nexus S, HTC Desire S, and the Xperia Neo and Pro, but we suspect that updates for the rest of the Android world will follow soon.
